Online Banking Security
Once you click on the "Log In" button to access Online Banking, our server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Then our server encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits.
Never share your Online Banking password: Armed Forces Bank of California representatives will never ask you for your password. If you believe someone has learned your password, please change it immediately and contact us. Is the login information I enter within the login window secure even though the web page I accessed it from is not a secure web page and does not display the "lock" in the lower right portion?Yes, your login is still secure. The section of the page that contains the Access ID and Password fields is a separate form that utilizes a secure protocol (https) to pass the information from the browser to Armed Forces Bank of California Online Banking. The Access ID and Password are encrypted (128-bit) during this transmission, and the Online Banking session that returns is all https. If you still are not reassured about logging in to Online Banking from a seemingly non-secure page that does not have a lock icon (like the home page), you can still choose to login from a page that does display the lock by just clicking on the "Login" button on the home page without entering the Access ID or Password fields or directly from here. That will take you to the stand-alone Online Banking login page which is a completely secure page (notice the "https" in the browser URL and the lock icon in the lower right corner). Can anyone else see my account information? No. Your online account information is available through access methods that have been rigorously tested for security accessibility. The information is not public. Only you can access it using your Access ID and Password. You can help safeguard your information and the banking systems by protecting your Access ID and Password. A proper combination of your Access ID and Password is the only way to get access into your account. Please be careful to keep this information secure and always signoff after each session.> Enhanced Online Banking Security |
